Easy Homemade Yera Glass Jar Candles
These candles are gorgeous, simple and healthy for your wallet. You can use them as your centerpiece decoration, patio decoration or gift them to your loved ones.
For every Yera jar, you will need-
500 gms Soy wax flakes
10- 15 drops essential oils
500ml Yera jar
mason jar ring (discard the lid unless you want to use it to package it up for a gift)
1 stick or a pencil
cord, string, or ribbon
Lay the wax flakes in a deep microwave safe Yera bowl and melt it for about 30-45 seconds, repeat and stirring each time until fully melted.
Gradually mix in essential oil and any colouring if desired. Immediately soak the end of the wick (the metal ring) in hot liquefied wax and lower it down into the Yera jar, centring it, next wrap the remaining wick around a stick or a pencil. This will secure it in the position while you pour in the wax.
Safely pour the hot wax into the jar, clean up rest on the sides and rim. Leave the wax to settle undisturbed until hard. We suggest you leave it to set overnight!
Cut the extra wick from the tip and leave about 1″ – 1 1/2″. Tie a ribbon around the jar and affix an ornamental charm or another embellishment to decorate it up a bit.
Now wasn’t that easy! These jar candles are incredible for handcrafted gifts which are easy on your wallet too!
