Quick Fix Decorations!
Quick and simple decoration fix for any party or occasions. I’m not the one who’ll choose plastic clings over a glass. I like to see my decorations upscale and natural. The plastic gives an artificial feel to the setup. If you’re a like-minded person or you’re interested in what I’m saying you might actually end up liking my ideas.
What do we need?
2 Aahaar jars squared shape
10 blue glow sticks
10 yellow glow sticks
2 green glow sticks
Some diamond glitter
1 Picolo jar
Different colored ribbons.
Wide pastel colored laces
Food paint/ Acrylic paint
Hard boiled eggs (we need shells to paint on)
So let’s get started.
Stars in Jars: Take the lid off the jars. Cut open with scissors 5 blue, 5 yellow and 1 green glow-stick in each jar. Sprinkle the diamond glitter on top. Lid the jars and shake the contents nicely. Don’t over do the shaking, just saying!
Lacy Jar: Take a Picolo jar, we don’t need the lid right now. Cut the wide lace according to the width of the jar. Why? Because we are going to paste it with a glue around the jar. Lit a fragrant tea light in the lacy jar to spice up some romance.
Candid Candles: We are getting to the base today! I mean we are going to work on the candle’s half way down area. Now that we have different colored ribbons, cut them with scissors according to the width of the candles. Now start taping the ribbons exact half way down on each candle. Use colors alternately or use color contrast to make the candles more candid. And don’t forget, the size of the masking tape should be about 2-3 cm. Why are we using masking tape? Because we can take the ribbon off one by one easily, as the candle burns.
A golden egg, maybe? It’s quite okay if we don’t have a hen laying golden eggs. We can have eggs in whichever color we want. How? Take boiled eggs which are cool enough to be held with hands. We are going to paint on shells. I prefer food paint because later on I can consume those nice colored eggs. If not you can use acrylic colors (but don’t eat those eggs!). Let’s wake our inner artist. Come on now. Everyone is an artist, the problem is that we don’t remember to be one at times. We have our weapons ready to paint and the eggs, then what are we waiting for? Paint any patterns you like, zig-zag in contrasting colors, brightly colored confetti, polka dots maybe?, emoticons (it’s my favorite), scenery or maybe abstract. Don’t be scared to experiment, it’s not like the hen is going to eat you for messing up the egg. Hmm, but one fair note, beware of the wet paint! Let the wet side dry before you start on the other side.
So did it work out for you? Keep me updated.
