New Delicious Dessert in Town- Cake Pops!
February 2, 2016
Cake pops are one of the latest trends in dessert art, which are basically little-smushed orbs of cake and cream cheese, doused in chocolate or candy melts. Whilst most of the recipes call for a boxed cake mix, we would encourage you to make this recipe with cake leftovers. For example, these cake pops in the pics were made with the leftovers of a chocolate birthday cake.
- Prep: 35 mins
- Yields: 20 Pops (approx.)
1In a Lumino Mixing bowl, crumble cake the cake until no large chunks remain, I prefer to use hands while crumbling the cake.
2Add cheese and mix well until combined.
3Shape the mixture into cake balls and place on paper parchment
4Melt 50 g chocolate, dip the sticks into melted chocolate and insert into cake balls; let it set in the fridge.
5Melt remaining chocolate, dip the pops completely, add some sprinkles, and keep in the fridge until consumption.
It is advisable to use a styrofoam block to stick the pops till dry.
